Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive growth, expand market presence, and build long-term client relationships. The BDM will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing tailored solutions for clients, and achieving sales and revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Revenue Growth
- Achieve and exceed annual sales and revenue targets.
- Drive lead generation, client acquisition, and business expansion within assigned territories.
- Convert qualified opportunities into successful sales, ensuring consistent billing and client satisfaction.
- Prepare proposals, pricing, and quotations aligned with business objectives and client needs.
- Client & Market Development:
- Identify new markets, clients, and growth opportunities.
- Understand client business needs and design compelling, value-driven solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Provide after-sales support to ensure high levels of customer retention and satisfaction.
- Strategic Collaboration
- Work closely with internal business units and leadership to design and implement new solutions.
- Collaborate with principal vendors, negotiating pricing and managing procurement processes.
- Partner across industries and service lines to leverage cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
- Governance, Risk & Compliance:
- Stay informed on industry trends, technologies, and emerging opportunities.
- Manage business risks by monitoring external and internal changes that impact clients or operations.
- Maintain high ethical standards and ensure compliance with corporate governance policies.
- Reporting & Performance Management:
- Track, analyse, and report on pipeline, revenue performance, and market activity.
- Provide accurate forecasting and feedback to management.
- Lead or support improvement initiatives to enhance profitability and efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Financial Management, or equivalent NQF 7 qualification.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of sales or business development experience, preferably within the IT solutions or technology sector.
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing key accounts.
- Sound understanding of financial and commercial models.

***Salary - Around R480,000 - R600,000 Annual CTC /Negotiable further & depending on the experience, book/networks, etc.
The CTC includes medical aid and provident fund. / BDM's qualify for commission from R1 / The bonus and commission will depend on how aggressive the salary is.
