About the position

Our client, a reputable and well established national construction company, focused on medium to large scale building projects, seeks to employ dynamic seasoned professional in new business development in the construction sector,  to join this progressive and expanding professional team in Johannesburg.
 
Please note that this role is not suited to candidates with a background in Civils but rather focused on building of malls, medical centres, luxury residential estates, high-rise commercial buildings and educational institutions. 
KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION:  

  • You will have a tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Business Management or similar, coupled with 8 plus years experience in developing new business opportunities within the construction and/or property development sector, specific to building of medium to large scale projects.
  • You will have a strong background in identifying business opportunities in the construction and/or property development sector, as well as having a solid track record in building investor relations, mitigating risk and contract negotiation.
  • A knowledge of strategic growth development strategies and the coordination of these strategies is essential
  • You will have a solid understanding of JBCC and NEC contracts
  • Strong skills in MS Office advanced, as well as CCS Candy essential
  • The ability to travel nationally is essential
  • You must have a valid driver’s licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
