About the position
Our client is looking for an experienced Business Development professional to drive strategic growth across African and international markets.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven individual with a strong track record of securing large-scale contracts and selling complex services into sectors such as mining, industrial services and infrastructure.
Requirements:
- 7 to 10 years’ experience in business development, strategic sales or commercial leadership
- Proven track record of securing high-value contracts and driving revenue growth
- Experience operating across African markets
- Experience within mining, industrial services, HSE or infrastructure will be advantageous
- Strong commercial and financial acumen
- Proven experience negotiating complex commercial agreements and long-term service contracts
- Strong executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience developing regional partnerships and managing multiple stakeholders
- Strong understanding of African market dynamics
- Proficient in CRM systems and MS Office
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel extensively
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and drive strategic business development opportunities
- Develop and manage a high-value sales pipeline
- Build executive-level relationships with key clients and partners
- Lead complex commercial negotiations and close high-value agreements
- Develop commercially sound proposals and tenders
- Identify new markets, partnerships and growth opportunities
- Monitor market and competitor activity to inform sales strategy
- Provide accurate pipeline reporting and forecasting
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored client solutions
- Represent the business at industry events and senior-level engagements
