Role Overview:

As our Business Development/Key Account Manager, you will be instrumental in identifying and securing new business opportunities within the B2B sector, managing key client relationships, and achieving ambitious sales targets. Your ability to build strong relationships with decision-makers and negotiate effectively will be crucial to your success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the B2B sector, specifically targeting companies needing branding and media services.
  • Manage and nurture existing key client accounts, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers at all levels, understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions.
  • Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals that showcase our services and value proposition.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of market trends, competitor activity, and the evolving needs of our target audience.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven sales experience in a B2B environment.
  • Experience within the media industry is highly preferred, demonstrating an understanding of our services and client needs.
  • Proven ability to open new accounts and drive significant business growth.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a track record of successful deal closures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport and influencing decision-makers.
  • High level of integrity, dedication, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and collaboration.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Understanding of the South African market and business culture.

Compensation:

  • Basic Salary: R25,000 - R30,000 per month (negotiable based on experience).
  • Commission Scheme: On-target earnings up to R50,000 per month.
