A growing and dynamic training and development organisation is looking for ambitious, energetic, and relationship-driven Business Development Consultants to join its expanding team across South Africa.
This is an exciting opportunity for a strong B2B sales professional who enjoys networking, meeting clients face-to-face, building strategic partnerships, and driving business growth within the corporate training and development sector.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Lead Generation
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within corporate and government sectors
- Conduct cold calling, networking, client visits, and relationship-building activities
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified prospects
- Convert leads into long-term partnerships and service agreements
Client Relationship Management
- Engage with HR Managers, Training Coordinators, and Learning & Development teams
- Conduct client needs assessments and present tailored training solutions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers
- Deliver professional presentations and proposals
Events & Brand Representation
- Attend corporate wellness days, conferences, expos, and industry events
- Represent the organisation at promotional and networking events
- Coordinate and host on-site workshops and engagement activities
Partnerships & Community Engagement
- Develop relationships with NGOs and organisations focused on education and skills development
- Participate in community upliftment and corporate social responsibility initiatives
- Identify collaboration opportunities aligned with organisational goals
Territory Management
- Develop and execute territory-specific growth strategies
- Maintain knowledge of regional business trends and market opportunities
- Travel extensively within the assigned region to meet clients and attend events
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related qualification
- 2-3 years' experience in B2B sales or business development
- Experience within higher education, training, or corporate learning environments advantageous
- Proven ability to generate leads and close deals
- Strong communication, presentation, and networking skills
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle essential
- Willingness to travel extensively
