About the position
Job Overview:
Kwena Group, a leading turnkey recruitment solutions business, seeks to appoint a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Consultant / B2B Sales Consultant to drive new business growth within the mining, engineering, heavy construction, IT and solutions selling sectors.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and achieving sales targets. This role requires extensive travel across South Africa, with potential for international travel in the future.
Minimum Requirements:
- Formal sales qualification (e.g., diploma or degree in sales, marketing, or related field).
- Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in new business development within the mining, engineering, heavy construction, IT, solutions selling, or similar B2B industry (essential).
- Demonstrated success in leveraging creative and resourceful strategies to secure client meetings, driving impactful B2B sales results.
- Valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle.
- Willingness to travel extensively across South Africa.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in sales targeting Sub-Saharan Africa markets.
- Openness to international travel when the role evolves.
Main duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the mining, engineering, heavy construction, Information Technology (IT) and B2B solution sales sectors.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders to drive sales growth.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and potential clients.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations, proposals, and pitches tailored to client needs.
- Work towards contract negotiation, pricing, and terms to close deals while ensuring business profitability
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of solutions and client satisfaction.
- Work towards sales targets and KPIs through proactive lead generation and follow-ups.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipelines, and forecasts
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
- Stay updated on industry developments, market conditions, and emerging opportunities.
