Business Development & Pre-Sales Goal
The Business Development & Pre-Sales resource goal is to drive business and commercial growth across the Business Unit, including the development of new business networks and contacts, attraction of new customers, providing growth into new real opportunities; expansion of existing networks in order to provide growth of real opportunities within these existing networks. Providing Pre-Sales support through the compiling of Proposals and quotations to existing and prospective customers, through collaboration with internal technical resources.
Business Development and Pre sales Objectives
- Identify and acquire new customers and opportunities
- Expand opportunities within existing customer base
- Grow the pipeline with viable opportunities
- Identify and prioritise pipeline opportunities into executable and executed projects
- Provide functional/business related inputs towards the technical resources as part of the pre-sales function
- Communicate with external parties during the pre-sales processes
Business Development and Pre-sales Role
- Promotion of the Business Unit’s products and services
- Lead / opportunity development to ensure growth
- Development and coordination of quotes and proposals, in conjunction with the Business Unit’s technical resources
- Capitalisation on opportunities through to Order
- Close coordination with the Company Sales and other representatives in order to ensure continuity
- Lead and or support role in the development and submission of proposals of all forms (RFx), including coordination of technical and engineering needs in order to fulfil asking requirements; ensuring commercial viability; generation of costing sheets; ensuring viability of execution (project management and implementation); and in general coordination of all aspects from lead generation to successful, commercially viable project completion.

Requirements
- Minimum of 4-years’ experience in a technical pre sales role
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, business, or engineering is preferable
- Experience in a biometric pre-sales environment is preferable
- Experience in business development is preferable
- Communication and Presentation Skills
- Previous experience in a sales or business development environment is preferable
