You're commercially sharp and strategically minded, with a natural ability to spot opportunities others miss. Comfortable operating at both a strategic and hands-on level, you enjoy researching markets, opening doors and building meaningful industry relationships. You're confident presenting technical solutions to Engineers and project houses, yet equally comfortable engaging distributors and end-users. Proactive and self-managed, you take ownership of your pipeline, communicate professionally and thrive in an environment where initiative and credibility matter.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll develop and execute a business development and marketing strategy to grow market share across South Africa and the SADC region. You'll identify and track industrial projects, build relationships with EPCs, OEMs and key decision-makers, and drive specification into large-scale projects. Your role will blend new customer acquisition with ongoing account management, distributor support and regional market development. Alongside sales activity, you'll lead exhibitions, manage advertising campaigns, oversee elements of the marketing budget, contribute technical presentations and training, maintain CRM integrity, compile weekly reports, monitor competitor activity and create engaging editorial content to strengthen brand presence.
You'll join a long-established, international engineering group renowned for its specialised engineered electrical solutions used in demanding industrial sectors. The offices are based in Jet Park, Gauteng with 70+ years of innovation, strong technical support, and presence across 10+ global regions, this niche leader delivers premium products to the world's most demanding sectors. Locally, you'll be part of a small, dedicated team that values professionalism, personal growth, and long-term relationships. You will be in the office Mondays and Fridays, the rest of the days you are out in the field.
You'll bring solid experience in business development and technical B2B sales within industrial or electrical environments. Experience working with EPCs, OEMs and distributors is highly advantageous, along with exposure to specification-based or project-driven sales. You're confident delivering technical presentations, managing CRM systems and executing marketing initiatives. Strong commercial acumen, excellent communication skills and the ability to operate independently at a senior level are essential.
