Business Developer

Location: Johannesburg

Are you a relationship builder with a drive for success? We're looking for a motivated Business Developer to expand and support our network of Financial Advisers, helping them grow their businesses while you achieve and exceed your own targets. If you thrive in a fast-paced sales environment and love being rewarded for results, this is your chance to shine!

Basic salary and commission based on your team's performance.

?? Please note: You must reside in the Johannesburg area to be considered for this role.

What you'll be doing:

  • Drive sales performance by meeting and exceeding set targets.
  • Cultivate and strengthen partnerships with Financial Advisers, ensuring consistent business development and retention.
  • Identify and onboard new Financial Advisers to grow your network.
  • Provide in-depth training and product guidance to advisers to help them succeed.
  • Support advisers through the entire sales journey and ensure processes are followed correctly.
  • Proactively contribute to marketing and sales initiatives to boost brand visibility and reach.
  • Attend regional adviser meetings and promote the company's offerings and growth strategies.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitor products; share valuable insights and suggestions with the team.
  • Monitor and follow up on potential new business to secure conversions.
  • Deliver impactful presentations to individuals and groups, both virtually and in-person.
  • Confidently make cold calls and close deals over the phone.
  • Track your performance and report weekly on achievements and pipeline progress.

What you'll need to succeed:

? Education & Experience:

  • A qualification in insurance or financial planning (RE1, RE5, CFP, or similar)
  • At least 2 years' experience in life insurance sales.
  • Must have previous experience working as a Broker Consultant.
  • Solid understanding of the insurance landscape.

  • Proven ability to build trust and maintain long-term business relationships.
  • Highly self-motivated and driven to achieve results.
