About the position

We are seeking a Business Data Manager to join our team, based in JHB-onsite.

This role is responsible for overseeing and ensuring proper data management and governance within Group Finance.

Job Responsibilities:

• Creating & enforcing policies for effective data management.
• Devising & implementing efficient and secure procedures for data management & analysis.
• Establishing data sharing.
• Monitoring & Analyzing information & data systems.
• Analyzing financial data to identify trends.
• Assessing risk & identifying potential issues.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, maths, finance, business, or a related field.
• Formal data management qualification i.e DAMA
• >3 years Data Management
• 1-3 years banking or financial services
• Financial knowledge

Technical Competencies:

• Data management.
• Ability to decipher & organise large amounts of data.
• An analytical mindset with superb communication & problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate complex problems clearly & in nontechnical terms.
• Strong understanding of banking regulations & financial products.
• Excellent communication & leadership skills.
