My client based in Cape Town (North) is currently sourcing for a Business Architect to join them on an independent contract basis

Overview We are seeking an experienced Business Architect to act as the bridge between corporate strategy and technology implementation. This role focuses on translating business vision into actionable operating models, ensuring processes, rules, and system architectures align with long-term goals and digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Operating Models: Translate high-level corporate strategies into conceptual future business models and detailed end-to-end Target Operating Models (TOMs).
- Capability & Process Design: Design enterprise-wide business capabilities, process maps, and value streams.
- Business-IT Alignment: Collaborate with IT and business units to ensure technology investments directly support strategic insurance, finance, or client solutions.
- Architecture Governance: Establish and enforce architecture design governance principles and standards across enterprise, data, and cloud infrastructures.
- Change Management: Provide governance functions and business readiness evaluations for large-scale initiatives and digital enhancements.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent qualification.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in a senior business architecture or Lead Business Analyst role, with strong background in process optimisation, requirements analysis, and capability modelling.
- Domain Knowledge: Broad understanding of information technology, architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman), and experience within the financial or insurance sector.
- Competencies: Strong stakeholder management, strategic advisory capabilities, and demonstrable skills in Agile delivery.
