- Support discovery activities, problem definition, solution framing, and visualisation of workflows, concepts, user journeys and UI ideas.
- Translate business and regulatory needs into structured requirements and backlog inputs.
- Create user interface mock-ups, diagrams, process flows, and other visual artefacts that make complex problems easier to understand and guide front-end development.
- Use and continuously improve the company’s approved AI tools to support the business analysis process, including meeting note analysis, requirements gathering, use-case creation, UI specification, documentation, and insight generation to enhance quality and speed of output.
- Prepare product artefacts to support governance and decision-making.

What Success Looks Like
- Strong understanding of the company's products, asset management concepts, investment processes, and operating context.
- Sound judgement in balancing commercial, operational, and regulatory needs.
- Increasing independence in analysis, requirements shaping, AI-assisted artefact generation, product decision-making and prioritisation.
- Respected and trusted by members of the PO team as well as teams with whom we collaborate.

- Experience with or working knowledge of IT / software development / database structures will be beneficial.
- Experience of working in agile / scrum environments alongside software developers.
Education Qualifications
- At a minimum, an undergraduate degree in a discipline that demonstrates strong analytical, quantitative, visualisation, and problem-solving capability, such as engineering, analytical sciences, mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, computer science, information systems, finance, economics, or a related commercial discipline.
- A financial, investment, asset management, or quantitative component, either as part of the degree or as a post-graduate course, is strongly preferred.
- Strong academic track record showing consistent performance.
- Additional investment, product, data, technology, or financial qualifications such as CFA, CA(SA), CPA, actuarial, data science, or UX/product-related qualifications would be beneficial.

- Strategy execution – the ability to translate strategy into coherent products that align with the product roadmap.
- Inter-personal skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, advisers and third-party product providers. Project management knowledge and skills are preferable, however while delivery awareness and coordination are important, this role does not carry project management accountability - its focus is on product quality, value, and decision support.
