About the position
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Business Analyst Manager to lead our business analysis function within the retail sector. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of business analysis leadership, particularly in environments such as FMCG, pharmacy, e-commerce, or supply chain, and will be capable of driving transformation and aligning operational execution with business strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of business analysts, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance oversight.
- Oversee the successful delivery of business analysis activities across multiple initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to understand strategic business goals and translate them into actionable requirements.
- Ensure high-quality documentation of business requirements, process flows, and functional specifications.
- Promote and apply best practices in business analysis, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Align business initiatives with broader strategic objectives, prioritising efforts based on impact and value.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration through workshops, stakeholder engagement, and decision-making sessions.
- Support enterprise programs including ERP implementations, omnichannel strategies, and data-driven transformation projects.
- Continuously evolve the business analysis capability, driving maturity, scalability, and value delivery.
Requirements:
- Matric and a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, or related field.
- 7+ years of business analysis experience, with at least 2–3 years in a team leadership or management role.
- Strong experience in the retail industry—FMCG, pharmacy, e-commerce, or supply chain sectors preferred.
- Successful track record in leading digital transformation, ERP, CRM, or omnichannel retail system initiatives.
- Advanced proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, and data visualisation platforms like Power BI or Tableau.
- Solid understanding of business analysis frameworks including BABOK, Agile, Scrum, and SAFe.
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement, business case development, and workshop facilitation.
- Strong focus on delivery, quality assurance, and measurable business impact.
