About the position
As a Business Analyst - Supply Chain & Pricing, the role will play a critical support role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the commercial and supply chain functions. The person will be responsible for collecting, validating, and analysing data to uncover insights that improve supply chain efficiency, optimise pricing strategies and enhance overall business performance.
Key Performance Areas
- Assist in gathering and validating data from internal systems and external sources across supply chain and pricing functions.
- Perform analysis on supply chain performance and pricing trends.
- Support cost-to-serve and margin analysis to inform pricing and operational decisions.
- Maintain and update dashboards and reports using Excel, Power BI or Tableau.
- Track KPIs related to pricing, product profitability, and supply chain efficiency.
- Prepare presentation materials and summaries for internal stakeholders.
- Support the Senior Business Analyst in price modelling and analysis.
- Monitor pricing compliance and flag discrepancies or margin issues.
- Assist in competitor pricing analysis and promotion performance reviews.
- Work closely with Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance, and Sales teams to ensure data accuracy and alignment.
- Participate in meetings and support follow-up actions under guidance from the Senior Business Analyst.
- Learn and use ERP and analytics tools to support data extraction and reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve data processes and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business economics, Supply Chain, Data Analytics or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in an analytical or commercial support role
- Experience working with pricing, promotions or merchandising data is essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate technical insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder influencing skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Quality orientated and self-driven to achieve results.
- Proficiency in Excel, SAP Retail, Tableau or other BI tools.
- Advanced Excel and data modelling.
- Ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
- Strong problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to data quality.
- Exposure to FMCG, retail or supply chain environments.
- Advanced proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) or pricing tools.
- Basic knowledge of SQL or similar is a plus.
