About the position
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to identify opportunities for improvement in business operations and processes.
- Ensure full stakeholder engagement and agreement on documented requirements.
- Collect critical information from meetings and produce actionable outputs.
- Participate in the solution design process, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Define test cases and acceptance criteria for unit and/or user acceptance testing.
- Assist with unit and/or user acceptance testing to validate solutions.
- Communicate insights and plans clearly to cross-functional teams and management.
- Proactively escalate potential risks or issues and propose mitigation strategies.
- Manage deliverables independently, ensuring timely and successful completion.
Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Business Analyst.
- Relevant tertiary qualification or a certificate/diploma in Business Analysis from an industry-recognized institution (preferred).
- Strong understanding of operational processes in the transport industry, experience working with ERP solutions.
- Effective client communication and ability to facilitate workshops.
- Skills for Building Process Flows
- Process Mapping: Ability to create detailed and accurate process maps using tools like Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or similar.
- Business Process Management (BPM): Understanding of BPM principles and methodologies to streamline and optimize workflows
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring all steps and interactions within processes are accurately documented
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and suggest improvements.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and document processes clearly
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify bottlenecks and develop solutions to improve process efficiency.
- Skills for Creating BI Reports
- Data Modelling and Transformation: Proficiency in data modelling and transforming data from various sources
- Data Visualization: Expertise in creating visual reports and dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar
- Data Analysis Expressions (DAX): Knowledge of DAX for creating complex calculations and measures in Power BI or similar
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with SQL, data warehousing, and ETL processes
- Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights
- Communication Skills: Ability to present data insights clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders
- Proficient in MS Project and other project management tools.
- High attention to detail and a solution-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proactive and creative thinker who can propose novel solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, able to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management.
- Skilled at managing multiple Business Analyst deliverables simultaneously while maintaining quality and focus.
