About the position
Business Analyst with +/- 5 years' experience in gathering and analysing requirements impacting data-intensive applications / systems and building solutions to fulfil those requirements; SQL and Database experience and test management experience required for a reputable global company based in Gauteng
- Knowledge of data modelling and data visualisation tools
- Data Manipulation and Transformation
- Knowledge of software development languages, frameworks, and methodologies
- Understanding Java application architecture and design patterns
- Experience in developing process flows, data flows and diagrams to support solutions.
- Experience in the creation of user stories or epics from business requirements suitable for development work and the breakdown of large Epics/Stories to match the outcomes of the analysis, thereby defining the (Acceptance Criteria the Definition of Ready and the Definition of Done) criteria.
- Designing of new features and enhancements to existing features
- SDLC Methodology: Agile, Scrum, Kanban or XP
- Problem-solving skills
- Test management, testing methodologies and tools
- SQL Language and Database experience
- Jira and Confluence experience
- Analyse and understand the end-to-end flow of application to support architecture and consider all touchpoints and impacts when analysing new business requirements or changes to existing business requirements which needs to be translated into user stories.
- Support operational excellence goals through strong operations knowledge. Resolve escalated support topics as part of tier-2/3 DevOps role to ensure the highest availability of critical applications.
