About the position
Our client is seeking an experienced Foreman to join their team within the high-end residential construction sector in the Cape Province. This permanent opportunity is suited to a hands-on site professional with strong technical understanding and the ability to drive programme delivery on luxury residential developments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret project requirements and ensure correct daily implementation on site
- Coordinate site activities in line with project plans and technical specifications
- Follow and implement detailed construction programme schedules (MS Project / bar charts)
- Allocate tasks and provide clear daily direction to site teams and support staff
- Monitor progress to ensure project deliverables are met timeously
- Maintain quality control standards and ensure accurate site documentation
- Ensure engineer sign-offs and quality assurance procedures are correctly followed
- Oversee unit handovers and ensure compliance with required standards
- Submit accurate month-end reports, timesheets, and expense documentation
- Proactively identify and resolve site issues to prevent recurrence
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric (construction-related qualification advantageous)
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Foreman
- Experience within high-end residential construction essential
- Strong technical understanding of building processes and site operations
- Ability to interpret construction programmes and drawings
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong organisational and time management ability
