About the position

Join Our Gap Cover Team as an Insurance Broker Consultant
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Insurance Broker Consultant to join our growing team in the Pretoria/Johannesburg region. In this role, you will act as a vital link between brokers / brokerages, assisting them to provide the most suitable Insurance Gap Cover coverage tailored to their client's specific needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with Brokers / Brokerages, understanding their insurance gap cover requirements and providing expert advice on suitable options.
• Claims Assistance: Assist Brokers in submitting valid Gap Cover Insurance claims, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience during the claims process.
• Market Research: Stay updated on the latest Gap Cover Insurance products, industry trends, and regulatory changes to provide Brokers / Brokerages with informed and up-to-date advice.

Qualifications and Skills / Attributes:

• RE5 (Regulatory Examination for Representatives. This exam is mandatory for individuals who provide financial services, such as financial advice or intermediary services, ensuring they meet the necessary regulatory standards)
• Short Term Personal Lines Accreditation (at least NQF4)
• Long-Term Category A Accreditation
• Class of Business Short-Term Personal Lines
• Class of Business Long Term
• Minimum 2 years experience
• Takes personal responsibility and initiative for work
• Desire to learn and willingness to help team members grow
• Values innovation and creation of new approaches
• Team player but able to work independently
• Ability to build and maintain key relationships
• Management of deadlines
• 'Make it happen' attitude
• Excellent standard of output
• Experience: Proven track record as a Broker Consultant within the Gap Cover insurance industry.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with Brokers and Brokerages.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and provide effective solutions to meet Brokers' insurance needs.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in using digital spreadsheets and other relevant software tools.
