THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE ARE:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Branding, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field, with 3-5 years relevant experience in communications and/or brand strategy development.
- A portfolio of work showcasing your expertise in brand communication and marketing initiatives
- Proficiency in B2B marketing, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in content writing for various platforms (websites, social media, and print).
- Proven experience in social media management, networking, and collaborating within cross-functional teams to implement brand strategies.
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
Marketing Coordination & Administration
- Accurately report on key deliverables and performance metrics.
- Manage sponsorship activities for decorative products and audit the effectiveness of sponsored collateral.
- Reconcile marketing expenses, committed costs, and forecasted costs within the marketing budget.
- Source, order, and distribute marketing resources while maintaining control over allocation and distribution
Leverage Group Marketing Alignment & Synergies
- Develop relationships with the global marketing team to align local and global strategies.
- Create structures to better integrate communication and brand plans with the global strategy.
- Participate in group marketing forums and initiatives to enhance collaboration.
Communication Strategy Execution
- Assist in executing the communication strategy to ensure a consistent and compelling brand message across all channels.
- Oversee digital communication efforts, including website updates, social media content, and newsletters to drive engagement and brand visibility.
- Manage printed communication materials, including flyers, brochures, catalogs, and advertisements.
Brand Management
- Increase brand awareness in key markets through advertising, PR, media, and partnerships.
- Ensure consistency and adherence to corporate identity (CI) across all communications and platforms.
- Assist in developing and executing brand extensions and adaptations for the African market.
Content Creation and Events
- Create and publish engaging content for both internal and external communications, targeting key stakeholders and influencers.
- Develop a database to track brand rollout and engagement with direct and downstream customers.
- Assist in planning and hosting product launches and other marketing events to promote the brand and products effectively.
