About the position
Ready to build something meaningful from the ground up? This is your chance to launch and grow a Cape Town branch in the food ingredients manufacturing space. Is this you? You're commercially sharp, highly self-motivated and thrive when given ownership. You enjoy building relationships, spotting growth opportunities and making things happen independently. With an entrepreneurial mindset, strong organisational ability and a customer-first approach, you're excited by the challenge of establishing a branch and growing it into a successful regional operation. What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it) You'll take full responsibility for establishing and growing the Cape Town branch, developing the Western Cape market and managing key customer relationships across the food manufacturing sector. In the early stages, you'll personally visit customers, grow existing accounts, win new business and provide technical and commercial support on ingredient solutions. You'll also oversee stock at an external warehouse, coordinate replenishment from Johannesburg, manage deliveries and help shape the future branch structure as the business expands. There is a small base of clients but you will be responsible for bringing in new business and establishing a base in Cape Town. Once you've established a good base of clients, you will be developing your team. Where you'll be doing it Our client is an established importer and distributor supplying food ingredients and raw materials to manufacturers across South Africa. They support sectors including bakery, dairy and broader food production, and have built a reputation for quality, reliability and customer satisfaction in a fast-growing market. This will be a remote job till your branch is established. What you'll need You'll need proven experience in the food industry, ideally within food ingredients, raw materials or food manufacturing supply. A strong understanding of the food manufacturing customer base is essential, and an existing Western Cape network would be a real advantage. Experience in sales, business development and account management is key, while exposure to stock, logistics or distribution will strengthen your fit. What you'll get You'll have the opportunity to build and lead a new regional branch with the backing of an established head office, an existing customer base and genuine long-term leadership potential.
