About the position
A well-established and fast-paced organisation is seeking an experienced Branch Office Manager to lead and oversee all operational, administrative, and customer-facing functions at their Cape Town branch. This role is ideal for a highly organised, proactive, and hands-on professional who can confidently manage people, processes, and performance in a dynamic environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth daily branch operations, strong customer service delivery, accurate financial administration, and effective team leadership while driving overall branch performance and compliance.
Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
- Manage full branch operations including customer service, invoicing, cash handling, banking, procurement, and stock control.
- Oversee deliveries, collections, dispatch coordination, and ensure timely customer communication and updates.
- Maintain efficient daily workflow through strong office administration and operational oversight.
People Leadership:
- Supervise and support branch staff, including external sales representatives, store personnel, and drivers.
- Provide coaching, performance management, and ensure adherence to company standards and procedures.
- Foster a positive, accountable, and customer-focused team culture.
Sales & Customer Relations:
- Drive branch performance by achieving monthly sales targets.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.
- Resolve customer queries and issues promptly and professionally.
Financial & Administrative Control:
- Ensure accurate handling of cash, banking, invoicing, and financial documentation.
- Maintain stock accuracy through regular checks, reconciliations, and control processes.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost management initiatives.
Security & Asset Management:
- Oversee branch security, including premises, equipment, and company assets.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and operational standards.
Reporting & Compliance:
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports to Head Office.
- Support audit requirements and company-wide compliance processes.
Performance Indicators:
- Achievement of monthly sales targets.
- Accuracy of stock control and financial records. Compliance with reporting and operational standards.
- Customer satisfaction and retention.
- Team performance and productivity.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years experience in branch management, operations, or office administration.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Experience in stock control, invoicing, and financial administration.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and general business systems.
- Valid driver's licence (advantageous depending on branch requirements).
