We are looking for an experienced Branch Manager to oversee the sales, operations, customer service, and financial performance of a branch in George. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established organisation that is committed to developing future leaders through its succession planning programme.
This role has been created as part of the company's leadership succession strategy. While you will initially be based in George, the successful candidate should be open to relocating to another province in the future should a permanent Branch Manager opportunity become available.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive branch sales performance and achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans aligned with national objectives.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships while ensuring exceptional service delivery.
- Lead, coach and develop branch staff to achieve high performance.
- Oversee branch operations, ensuring efficiency, safety and compliance with company standards.
- Manage stock control processes, ensuring stock accuracy, loss prevention and effective inventory management.
- Monitor debtor accounts in partnership with the finance team to ensure sound financial control.
- Assist with annual sales and cost centre budgeting and ensure expenditure remains within approved budgets.
- Analyse branch performance data and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Work closely with senior management to ensure branch objectives align with overall business strategy.
- Travel nationally when required.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12).
- A tertiary qualification in Sales, Business Management or a related field is advantageous.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior external sales role with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Previous experience managing branch operations or leading a sales team.
- Strong understanding of sales, customer service, stock control and branch administration.
- Excellent financial acumen with experience managing budgets, cost centres and financial controls.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with stock management and inventory control.
- Advanced computer literacy, including SAP and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel nationally and relocate in future should business requirements dictate.

- Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30
- Friday: 07:30 – 16:00
