About the position

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily transport, furniture removal, and logistics operations.
  • Manage and supervise branch staff and operations.
  • Coordinate international shipping processes and documentation.
  • Monitor branch income statements and manage budgets.
  • Handle and process operational and customer claims.
  • Manage industrial relations and staff-related matters.
  • Maintain reports and documentation using Google applications, Excel, and Word.
  • Communicate with clients, staff, and management.
  • Monitor deadlines and ensure operational targets are met.
  • Review processes and implement operational improvements.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum qualification - Grade 12 with the necessary working experience.
  • A National Transport Diploma or a Degree in Commerce is a prerequisite.
  • Valid driver's licence (non-negotiable)

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 10-years Transport Furniture Removal or Logistics Operations experience (non-negotiable)
  • Minimum 5-years Managerial experience (non-negotiable)
  • Previous International Shipping experience (non-negotiable)
  • Computer literacy on Google web based applications, Excel & Word
  • Extensive Industrial Relations experience
  • Strong communicator
  • Proficient in English with an additional language
  • Excellent analytical skills with a passion for accuracy and attention to detail
  • Responds promptly to requests and flexible in their approach
  • Deadline driven with ability to carefully assess and streamline processes
  • Experience with branch income statements and budgeting
  • Claims handling experience
  • Good time management
