Branch Manager

About the position

Branch Manager required for a large manufacturing company mainly focusing on production of cement-based tile adhesives and related construction materials

Location: East London 

Roles and Responsibilities: 

 

• Supervise factory staff and oversee all daily activities.
  
  
• Manage multiple facets of the facility, including logistics.
  
  
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  
  
• Order and control all raw materials needed for production.
  
  
• Ensure the correct orders and pickings leave the warehouse.
  
  
• Check orders, stock received, inventory, and deliveries for accuracy.
  
  
• Attend the daily production planning meeting and plan daily production timeously.
  
  
• Maintain records, report relevant information, and prepare necessary documentation. Submit daily production by 8:00 AM the next day.
  
  
• Check daily clocking of hourly paid employees and approve all clockings before 8:30 AM on payday.
  
  
• Perform daily inspections on all plant and equipment, and repair any defects found.
  
  
• Communicate and coordinate sales orders and pickings with factory staff.
  
  
• Ensure the factory, equipment, and premises are always clean and neat.
  
  
• Perform monthly stock takes.
  
  
• Open and close the facility daily, including activation of the alarm system.
  
  
• Assist and support the admin and sales staff when required.
  
  
• Manage local sales and admin staff.
  
  
• Liaise with clients.
  
  
• Participate in marketing drives.
  
  

Qualifications & Requirements (ESSENTIAL)

• A valid driver’s license.
• Grade 12/matric certificate.
• 5 - 10 years experience as a Production Manager or similar role.
