About the position
YOU NEED - solid management experience, experience with industrial and maritime machinery, proven ability to drive a sales team. Responsible for:
Customers
Drive the sales team, oversee Key Account management, stakeholder engagement, stay abreast with industry changes, ensure profitability and manage pricing policies, discounting, freight expenses and pricing.
Operations
Oversee warehouse operations, brch security and opening/closing, and cash. Oversee stock and cycle counts, shrinkage, data accuracy etc. Ensure proper Asset Management.
Financials
Develop sales and expense budgets. Analyse and evaluate branch activities. Manage costs, operations, budgets and forecasts. Direct debtor activities and ensure proper collections. Ensure timeous financial reporting.
Staff
Manage staff, staff requirements and hiring processes. Manage staff performance. Protect or improve our BEE scorecard. Manage disciplinary processes. Manage the learnership programme. Drive a customer-focussed culture, and a safety culture. Manage stakeholder relations, such as the union.
