Bookkeeper

About the position

A well-established company based in the East Rand is seeking a Bookkeeper.
Minimum Requirements:

• Previous bookkeeping experience in a full function role
• Experience with SARS, VAT submissions and eFiling
• Pastel Accounting and Pastel Payroll experience is essential
• Sage experience for EMP201s and EMP501s
• Experience with foreign creditors would be advantageous
• Strong reconciliation and administration skills
• Energetic, bubbly, proactive and willing to learn the business

Key Responsibilities:

• Full bookkeeping function
• Banking and bank reconciliations
• VAT submissions and SARS compliance
• Manage creditors and perform creditor reconciliations
• Process invoices and assist with goods receiving
• Assist with shipments and foreign supplier accounts
• Process weekly and monthly payroll on Pastel Payroll
• Submit UIF, EMP201s and EMP501s
• Assist with Workmen's Compensation and BEE administration
• Provide general administrative support and assist in other areas of the business as required
