Bookkeeper

About the position

A Well - Established Company in Wynberg Sandton seeks a Bookkeeper.
Key Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and reconcile purchase orders on Sage Pastel.
• Perform monthly creditors and debtors reconciliations.
• Prepare VAT calculations and assist with month-end and management accounts.
• Assist with audit preparation and maintain accurate financial records.
• Capture and maintain purchase orders and contract cost information on Excel.
• Follow up on outstanding debtor accounts and liaise with clients regarding collections.
• Manage the B-BBEE verification process and maintain leave registers.
• Coordinate training sessions and maintain engineer registrations on the ECSA portal.
• Provide general administrative support, respond to queries, and assist with office coordination.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' bookkeeping and administration experience.
• Proficient in Sage Pastel Accounting.
• Pastel Payroll experience is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of creditors, debtors, VAT, reconciliations, and month-end procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience preparing management accounts and assisting with audits.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, work independently, and meet deadlines
