Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting functions, and supporting the financial operations of a busy hospitality environment.
• The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and other statutory filings.
• Support payroll processing and maintain employee payroll records.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Prepare financial reports for management.
• Reconcile supplier statements and ensure timely payments.
• Monitor cash flow and assist with financial administration.
• Liaise with external accountants and auditors.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
• Provide financial support to various operational departments as required.

Minimum Requirements

• Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar finance role, preferably within the hospitality, hotel, tourism, or service industry.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Experience with accounting software such as Sage Payroll
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Professional, trustworthy, and able to maintain confidentiality.
• Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualification will be advantageous.
