Description/Synopsys:

A well-established engineering business seeks an experienced Bookkeeper to join their Head Office Team, based in Northriding. As part of the team, you’ll be hands-on with the numbers that drive the business. This is a great opportunity to build on your exposure in accounting, with exposure to real business and financial operations, and plenty of support to grow.

Minimum Requirements:

• BCom Accounting degree or studying towards
• 2 years’ experience in a Bookkeeping role
• Accounting software - Xero/Pastel essential
• Experience in a Shared Services environment beneficial
• Knowledge of transfer pricing an advantage.
• Experience and knowledge of inter-company transactions
• Knowledge and understanding of payroll processes
• Proactive approach to problem-solving

Responsibilities:

• Accurately record day-to-day financial transactions, from purchases and expenses to sales revenue and client payments.
• Update and maintain the general ledger, making sure every entry is categorised correctly and contributes to a clean set of books.
• Reconcile key accounts to catch errors, investigate discrepancies, and ensure everything balances to the cent.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, helping keep our payments smooth and our cash flow healthy by ensuring suppliers are paid and clients stay up to date.
