About the position
Working for a firm of Chartered Accountants, the candidate will be responsible for performing accounting functions for various clients in various industries. Managing bookkeeping activities, SARS regulatory compliance, disputes, queries, payroll as well as VAT and tax submissions
REQUIREMENTS:
- Relevant Accounting degree or Diploma will be advantageous
- Minimum of 5 years experience
- Accounting firm experience / experience working on multiple books
- Computer literacy : Sage, Pastel, Quickbooks Online and VIP Classic payroll
- Workable knowledge of Workmans Compensation
- E-filing experience
- Must have own car as some clients are off site- travel fully reimbursed
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monthly bookkeeping for clients, data capturing, allocation and reconciliation of bank accounts
- Monthly management accounts
- Payroll and PAYE for clients
- VAT submissions
- EMP501 submissions
- Workman's compensation, CIPC
- Tax returns
- Client liaison
- Working under pressure, meeting of deadlines
