About the position
Position: Bookkeeper - Energy or Engineering Industry
Location: Somerset West, South Africa
Hire Resolve's client, a leading company in the energy or engineering industry, is looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to join their team in Somerset West. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in bookkeeping and a strong understanding of financial processes in the energy or engineering sector.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial transactions
- Assist with budget planning and financial forecasting
- Work closely with the finance team to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
- Assist with audits and tax preparation
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- At least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, preferably in the energy or engineering industry
- Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Sage
- Strong understanding of financial processes and principles
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements
