About the position

A well-established organisation based in Ballito is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Bookkeeper to join its finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is a full-time, office-based position with working hours from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with financial reporting. The preferred start date is 1 August 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter

Key Responsibilities

• Capture and maintain accurate financial records in the accounting system
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts
• Assist with invoicing, billing, and collections
• Maintain and organise financial documents and records
• Support monthly and year-end closing processes
• Prepare financial reports and summaries
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
• Assist with audits and financial reviews

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3-5 years' bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Sound understanding of accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Zoho Books will be advantageous)
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
