About the position
Bookkeeper
- Responsible for full month-end processing and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the company, including journals, ledgers, and reconciliations.
- Assist with weekly & month-end bank payments and cashbook processing.
- Assist with monthly management accounts and reports.
- Purchase card management, reconciliation & processing for the group.
- Assist with weekly review & reports of the financial position of the group.
- Any ad-hoc financial tasks as required by the financial supervisor.
- Statutory compliance and reports - experience advantageous.
- Experience working with various entities in a group.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced department and group of companies.

- Preparing the various financial accounts for assets, liabilities and capital.
- Documenting transactions accurately.

- In-depth knowledge of Mathematics and Finance.
- Resolving queries.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and best practices.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a bookkeeping or similar accounting role.
- National Diploma or Certificate in Bookkeeping / Accounting / Finance (e.g. ICB, NQF Level 4 or higher).
- Strong working knowledge of Pastel and other similar accounting software's.
