Bookkeeper/Assistant Accountant

About the position

Our client, an international manufacturer, seeks to employ a qualified and experienced Bookkeeper to join their progressive and expanding professional team immediately.
 
Please note that experience in foreign exchange transactions, cashbook, cashflow projections and general ledger recons is essential and we require a candidate with a financial qualification and experience in an international reporting and transactional company.

Due to the urgency of the role, we are giving preference to candidates who can start immediately
KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION:
 

• You will have a tertiary qualification in Finance/Accounting, coupled with 2-5 years experience in general ledger/bank recons, accurate cashflow reporting, VAT returns foreign exchange transactions and trial balance recons of balance sheet accounts.
• You will have proven experience in accurate budget reporting, managing SARS queries pertaining to VAT and providing support to the head Accountant and Financial Manager.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel is essential
• You must have a valid driver’s licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
