About the position

Lead a team in the boiler shop to fabricate, oversee daily production and ensure job schedules are met according to quality standards.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Trade qualification as a Boilermaker and Certified Welder
  • 10+ years in heavy engineering or mechanical engineering
  • Experience in mechanical engineering manufacturing, including knowledge of assembly process
  • Strong leadership and team management skills

Key Performance Areas:

  • Lead a team of boilermakers and welders, ensuring efficient daily operations.
  • Coordinate production schedules and resource allocation to meet project deadlines
  • Quality assurance (ISO9001:2015) and implement quality control procedures
  • Improve production processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed and conduct regular safety audits
  • Oversee the boiler shop budget, manage suppliers, and track KPIs
  • Provide technical guidance on fabrication practices
