About the position

This position needs someone who will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair of various metal structures and equipment, including boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, and other large containers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Fabrication and Assembly
  To create metal components like chutes, hoppers, brackets, and structural frames according to engineering drawings. They use various tools and machinery, including cutting torches, grinders, welding machines, and hydraulic presses.
• Installation and Maintenance
  To install new equipment and maintain existing machinery and structures, ensuring they function safely and efficiently.
• Repair and Troubleshooting
  Must be able to diagnose and repair damaged or malfunctioning equipment, minimizing downtime and preventing potential hazards.
• Safety Compliance
  Must adhere to strict safety regulations, including those related to handling tools, working with heavy machinery, and working at heights or in confined spaces.
• Quality Control
  To ensure that all work meets quality standards and specifications, including dimensional tolerances and material requirements.
• Material Handling
  Will be involved in the handling of various materials, including steel plates, pipes, and other metal components.
• Testing
  Must conduct tests on completed structures and equipment to ensure their integrity and functionality.

About The Employer:

Our client based in Lutzville and Saldanah Bay is looking to acquire experinced Boilermakers in one of their sites. The successful candidates should possessess the ff skills and experience:

Minimum Requirements:




- A minimum of 3-5 years of practical experience in boilermaking
- Welding and Fabrication Skills: Proficiency in welding, cutting, and fabricating metal components is crucial
- Must be Trade Tested
- Must have a valid drivers licence
- Qualification in Boilermaking or Welding will be advantageous
- Must be able to work shifts
- Drawing and Blueprint Reading: Understanding technical drawings and blueprints is a key skill.
- Must be physical Fit
