Role: Blending Room Operator
Location: Nasrec - Johannesburg
Start Date: Immediate
Qualifications:
- Must have Grade 12, Matric or NQF4 equivalent
- Diploma or Degree Food Tech/ Biotech/ Food & Nutrition or Analytical Chemistry
- 1-2 years relevant experience
- Must have a clear criminal record

Position Responsibilities:
- Accurate preparation of ingredients for blending into the oil following established recipes and methods.
- Confirm all ingredients, ratios and weights are correct.
- Ensure that the blending process is carried out accurately according to defined procedures.
- Ensure minimal product defeats and downtime due to blending operations.
- Take blended oil samples to lab for testing.
- Clean blending and material systems for product changes and shutdowns.
- Keep blending room and blending tanks area clean.
- Communicate any important information to the Production Manager, Supervisors and the QA Analyst.
- Is consistently on time and at work.
- Required to work overtime when requested to do so.
- Overtime may be required when needed to finish a production run, to cover for other employees absent from work, meet customer expectations, etc.
- Keep and maintain ingredient blending records.
- Maintaining traceability by tracking batch numbers.
- Follows Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines.
- Immediately reports any problems with the equipment, ingredients and oil to the Production Manager, Production Supervisor bd QA Analysts.
- Watches for contamination in the product along any point of production.
- Participates in weekly plant GMP Audits.
- Other duties as assigned.
