About the position
Our client, a multidisciplinary engineering and development consultancy, is seeking an experienced BIM Manager to lead BIM implementation and coordination across complex, multi-sector projects. This role is suited to a highly skilled digital engineering professional with strong leadership capability and deep technical BIM expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) across projects
- Define and enforce BIM standards aligned with company and client requirements
- Oversee multidisciplinary BIM workflows (Civil, Structural, MEP)
- Manage model federation, clash detection, and coordination processes
- Ensure compliance with required Levels of Development (LOD) and deliverable standards
- Provide BIM training, mentoring, and technical support across project teams
- Manage BIM libraries, templates, software tools, and licensing systems
- Evaluate and implement digital engineering tools and workflows (e.g. Dynamo, BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Solibri)
- Conduct model audits and QA/QC reviews to ensure design integrity
- Act as key liaison between engineers, architects, contractors, and clients on BIM deliverables
- Lead coordination meetings and ensure alignment across all stakeholders
- Ensure all models, drawings, and digital outputs meet project and regulatory standards
Minimum Requirements:
- BIM certification essential
- Autodesk Certified Professional (Revit Structures) advantageous
- Engineering-related qualification advantageous
- 8-10 years' experience working with Revit Structures and BIM environments
- Strong experience with BIM 360 (Documents and Design)
- Knowledge of SANS 10400, SANS 10100, and SANS 10162 beneficial
Technical Competencies:
- Advanced proficiency in Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks, AutoCAD
- Experience with BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud
- Exposure to Dynamo and Solibri advantageous
- Strong understanding of BIM workflows and coordination processes
