BIM Manager

About the position

Role Description

The BIM Manager will be responsible for:

• Developing, maintaining, and enforcing BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and project-specific protocols
• Defining and implementing BIM standards, ensuring alignment with company and client objectives
• Overseeing BIM workflows across multidisciplinary teams (Civil, Structural, MEP, etc.)
• Ensuring all models meet required Levels of Development (LOD) and coordination expectations
• Managing model federation, clash detection, and coordination processes
• Providing training and technical support to engineers, designers, and draughters on BIM tools (Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks, etc.)
• Facilitating BIM onboarding and ensuring consistency in BIM methodologies
• Managing BIM software licenses, templates, libraries, and plugins
• Evaluating, testing, and implementing new digital tools and technologies (e.g., Dynamo, BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud, Solibri)
• Acting as the central liaison between engineers, architects, contractors, and clients regarding BIM deliverables
• Leading or participating in internal and external coordination meetings
• Performing model audits and conducting QA/QC reviews
• Ensuring all deliverables-including models, drawings, COBie outputs, and documentation-meet client, project, and regulatory standards

Candidate Specification

The successful candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:

• BIM certification
• Autodesk Certified Professional: Revit Structures accreditation
• Knowledge or experience with SANS 10400, SANS 10100, and SANS 10162
• Minimum of 8-10 years' relevant professional experience using Revit Structures
• Experience with BIM 360 (Documents and Design)
• An engineering-related qualification (advantageous)
