About the position
The Bilingual Technology Trainer is responsible for delivering comprehensive training across a full technology portfolio. While not expected to provide in-depth training on specialized systems, the trainer ensures that staff across various units are equipped with a strong foundational understanding of technology functions, policies, and SOPs.
The goal is to drive awareness, consistent adoption, and alignment with technology standards, providing a platform for more advanced, system-specific training as needed.
Onboarding of new team members and refresher sessions for existing staff will be critical in ensuring consistency and operational alignment across the organization.
RequirementsKey Responsibilities:
Scope:
- Develop and deliver training materials, presentations, and assessments in both English and French, depending on the audience.
- Ensure training programs align with the organization's broader goals and objectives.
- Key audiences include field unit staff, head office teams, and regional personnel.
Training Approach:
- Spend an initial 4–6 months undergoing internal training across IT, Systems, and relevant technology portfolios.
- Collaborate with functional managers to develop bilingual curricula covering high-level technology concepts.
- Create assessments to evaluate training effectiveness and participant comprehension.
- Deliver training through a combination of facilitator-led sessions and onsite engagements.
- Conduct multi-day visits per field location, allowing time to train all relevant personnel.
- Continue training new hires and provide refresher sessions following the initial rollout.
Requirements:
Skills and Experience:
- Tertiary education in Technology or a related field.
- Proven experience delivering training to medium-sized groups in both English and French.
- Experience in organizing and facilitating workshops or training sessions.
- Ability to develop effective training content and technical assessments.
- Familiarity with evaluating learner performance on technical topics.
Key Attributes:
- In good physical health and comfortable with extensive travel.
- Quick learner with the initiative to develop training content from internal resources.
- Experience traveling and working in diverse regions is an advantage.
- Willingness and ability to travel for extended periods.
Key Performance Areas:
- Complete 4–6 months of internal training across relevant technology portfolios.
- Develop structured training content and learner assessments with subject matter experts.
- Coordinate and deliver training across various regions and teams with professionalism.
- Gather and apply feedback consistently to improve training delivery.
- Maintain a minimum 75% pass rate on training assessments across all sessions.
- Deliver training to all field locations within 6 months of rollout.
