BI / Reporting Specialist

About the position

We're looking for an experienced BI / Reporting Specialist with strong SQL expertise to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence and reporting solutions. This role requires a mix of technical skill and financial understanding, ensuring data is accurate, balanced, and actionable. Ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys client interaction.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 6 years' experience in BI / Reporting / SQL Development
• Advanced SQL / T-SQL proficiency (core requirement)
• Experience with SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS
• Solid understanding of financial principles and reconciliation processes
• Strong communication skills in English and Afrikaans
• Must be presentable, client-facing, and able to work under pressure
• Own vehicle / reliable transport essential

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, maintain, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL processes
• Develop and manage SSRS reports and Power BI dashboards
• Ensure data accuracy and balancing across financial systems
• Conduct data analysis to support decision-making
• Provide technical support and present insights to clients and teams
