My client based in Cape Town, Constantia is currently looking for a BI Developer to join their team on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities
- Gather, analyse and document business and reporting requirements from stakeholders.
- Design, develop and maintain end-to-end BI solutions across the full technology stack.
- Build and maintain robust ETL processes to extract, transform and load data from multiple source systems.
- Develop and enhance data warehouse solutions to support reporting and business intelligence initiatives.
- Create and maintain a centralised, trusted source of business data.
- Design relational and dimensional data models that support reporting and analytics requirements.
- Develop reports, dashboards and visualisations that provide meaningful business insights.
- Analyse data trends and identify opportunities to improve business processes and operational efficiency.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity and consistency across BI platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and performance bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to deliver scalable and sustainable BI solutions.
- Provide mentorship, guidance and technical support to junior team members.
- Contribute to BI strategy, continuous improvement initiatives and best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a BI Developer / BI Analyst Developer.
- Strong experience designing and developing end-to-end BI solutions.
- Advanced SQL development and database querying skills.
- Proven experience with ETL development, data integration, and data transformation processes.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing principles and dimensional modelling.
- Experience working with BI visualisation tools such as Power BI or Qlik.
- Strong analytical and numerical ability.
- Proven track record of delivering successful BI and data-related projects.
- Microsoft SQL Server and SSIS.
- Power BI.
- Qlik Sense / QlikView.
- Experience within financial services, asset management, investments, or related industries.
- Exposure to cloud-based data platforms and modern data architectures.
