About the position
Our client, a recognized leader in the pharmaceutical industry, is seeking a skilled and motivated Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join their expanding team
This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining impactful Power BI dashboards and reports that drive strategic decision-making across the organization. You'll work closely with business stakeholders to transform complex data into clear, actionable insights
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations
- Build robust and scalable data models aligned with business needs
- Connect and integrate data from diverse sources, both on-premise and cloud-based
- Translate business requirements into data solutions that inform decision-making
- Support Excel-based reporting and analysis as needed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Contribute to broader data initiatives such as automation and advanced analytics as the business grows
Education & Certifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field
Preferred:
- Microsoft Power BI Certification (e.g., PL-300)
Experience & Skills
Required:
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience with Power BI development and data modeling
- Proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and the Power BI Service
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, Power Pivot, and advanced formulas
- SQL proficiency for writing queries and understanding relational databases
- Ability to understand business problems and deliver data-driven solutions
Technical Competencies:
- Power BI: Dashboards, dataflows, and report publishing
- Excel: Advanced analytics and data manipulation
- SQL: Query writing and data extraction
- Data integration from multiple sources (cloud/on-premise)
- Knowledge of data modeling best practices
