About the position
We are seeking an experienced Senior Power BI Lead / Data Engineering Specialist to drive reporting transformation, enhance Power BI delivery capabilities, and improve the overall quality, usability, and visual appeal of business intelligence solutions.
The successful candidate will play a key role in defining best practices, improving delivery cadence, and leading continuous improvement initiatives across the Power BI reporting landscape. This individual will work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams to ensure that reporting solutions deliver meaningful business insights while maintaining high standards of data quality, governance, and performance.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of Power BI expertise, data engineering capabilities, stakeholder engagement skills, and leadership experience in BI transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Power BI transformation and modernization initiatives.
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Drive continuous improvement of report design, user experience, and reporting standards.
- Define and implement Power BI best practices, governance, and development frameworks.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into reporting solutions.
- Improve reporting delivery processes and team productivity.
- Build and maintain data models, semantic layers, and reusable datasets.
- Develop complex DAX measures, calculations, and KPI frameworks.
- Design and optimize ETL/ELT data pipelines.
- Support data integration across multiple source systems.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, security, and compliance.
- Mentor and support Power BI developers and analysts.
- Identify opportunities for automation and self-service reporting.
- Perform performance tuning and report optimization.
- Work closely with Data Engineers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners.
- Support data governance, data quality, and master data initiatives.
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to BI strategy.
