About the position
Our client, a South African company that provides a supply chain optimization platform for the fruit industry are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join our innovative team based in Citrusdal, Western Cape. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a pioneering startup transforming the agricultural sector through data and technology.
The BI Analyst will be responsible for analyzing large datasets, developing reports, and delivering insights to support data-driven decision-making for internal teams and clients. You will be part of a cross-functional team of engineers, business stakeholders, and data scientists, working together to deliver innovative products and services.
Responsibilities:
· Extract, clean, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources to generate actionable insights.
· Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Power BI) to provide stakeholders with clear and concise information.
· Analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization in operations.
· Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and develop solutions.
· Provide data-driven recommendations to improve operational processes and optimize supply chain efficiency.
· Ensure the accuracy and consistency of data across all reporting and analysis activities.
RequirementsRequirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in data science, Business Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
· Experience in a BI Analyst or similar role is a plus.
· Strong proficiency in BI tools and data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Power BI).
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
· Familiarity with supply chain and processes is a bonus.
· Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced startup environment.
