About the position
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and strategic Employee Benefits & Remuneration professional to join a leading organisation within the healthcare and laboratory services sector.
This role offers the opportunity to influence executive decision-making, lead reward transformation initiatives, and drive best-practice remuneration and benefits strategies across a large and complex organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Manager: Employee Benefits & Remuneration, you will:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the overall Human Resources strategy.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Total Reward Strategy aligned to organisational objectives, culture, and workforce needs.
- Lead the design, review, and enhancement of remuneration, benefits, and reward frameworks.
- Drive talent attraction and retention initiatives through competitive and innovative reward solutions.
- Oversee job evaluation processes, job grading, and the standardisation of job profiles and titles.
- Ensure remuneration practices are fair, transparent, market-related, and aligned with organisational goals.
- Lead organisational reward and remuneration projects from concept to implementation.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures relating to benefits, remuneration, and variable pay.
- Provide strategic insights and reporting to support executive and organisational decision-making.
- Manage, coach, and develop team members to achieve operational excellence and professional growth.
- Support organisational design, restructuring, and workforce planning initiatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Honours Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business Management, or a related field (NQF Level 8).
- A Master's Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Remuneration, Payroll, or a related discipline will be advantageous.
- 9 years' experience within a Rewards, Benefits, and Remuneration environment.
- 5 years' experience in a specialist leadership or management role.
- Registration as a Remuneration Specialist with the South African Rewards Association (SARA)
