About the position
Description / Synopsis
Join a food industry leader as a Bakery Advisor in Cape Town, offering hands-on product support and training to retail clients while driving bakery sales growth. The ideal candidate brings solid FMCG sales experience and a passion for all things baking.
Minimum Requirements
- Technical baking qualification and/or practical baking experience
- At least 3 years’ sales experience in an FMCG environment
- Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel)
- Code 8 driver’s license
- Willingness to be available for after-hours support
Responsibilities
- Training internal and external bakers in our products
- Conduct daily in-store baking demonstrations across key retail accounts
- Provide hands-on technical advice and solutions to bakery teams and address client concerns
- Drive growth in yeast and specialty ingredient sales
- Report on industry trends, competitor activity, and new business opportunities
- Participate in trade events and exhibitions
- Train both internal staff and retail bakers on product usage
