About the position
Data Pipeline Management: Maintain and optimize incoming data pipelines that integrate with the MDBB SAP System, ensuring data accuracy and reliability through technologies such as Kafka and other input methods.
Application Development: Develop and enhance applications using Java (Quarkus) to support data ingestion processes, ensuring alignment with business requirements and technical specifications.
Configuration and Mapping Enhancements: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and implement enhancements to data mappings and configurations, ensuring that the applications meet evolving business needs.
Technical Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for data pipelines, application architecture, and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding of new team members.
Cloud Infrastructure Management: Utilize Azure services, including Key Vault and Kubernetes, to deploy and manage applications, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of data solutions and alignment with business objectives.
Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for data pipeline issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to business operations.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data management and application development, proactively suggesting improvements to enhance system performance and efficiency.
Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications/Experience:
Relevant IT / Computer Science degree / certification.
5 years experience
KAFKA Streaming / Java Certification.
Cloud Certification
Essential Skills Requirements:
Knowledge of Kafka - Streaming Technology (Consuming and Producing) within the client’s Group standards.
JAVA Coding - (Quarkus/Maven).
Azure - (Keyvault and Kubernetes).
Good communication & ability to manage external stakeholders & Product Owners.
In Depth understanding of Azure infrastructure and services offered.
Monitoring tools in Azure.
Interpreting best practices into actionable steps.
Understanding Architecture standards and best practices and application for Product requirements.
Ability to steer and run meetings with external parties and Product Owners.
Initiative, proactive nature to solve problems and troubleshoot.
Working autonomously within team.
Advantageous Skills Requirements:
Security concepts and principles.
Programming knowledge — SAP / SQL / python.
Docker / Containerization Experience.
Adaptable to learn, implement and promote new technologies.
Good communication skills with internal teams and management.
Ability to quickly learn internal tools / languages to advise on integration methodologies.
Ability to translate hands on experience to documentation for internal departments.
Knowledge on SAP S4/HANA (not required).
