Automotive Buyer at Innovative Solutions Group

About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Purchasing Buyer to join our dynamic team. In this role, the successful candidate will be pivotal in optimizing purchasing processes, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely sourcing of high-quality materials and products that align with organizational goals.

Work Experience required:

• 3+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement roles, with a proven track record of effective supplier negotiation in the commercial automotive industry.

Preffered qualifications:

• Diploma in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Additional Requirements:

• Valid EB license

• Proficient in using procurement software and ERP systems for order management and inventory tracking.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Strong understanding of supply chain principles and best practices.

• Oversee the procurement process from requisition to purchase order issuance, ensuring adherence to budget and quality standards.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to negotiate favourable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities, ensuring alignment with company needs.
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure adequate supply while minimizing excess stock.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, logistics, and production, to align purchasing strategies with organizational objectives
• Implement and refine purchasing policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
• Prepare and analyse purchasing reports to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement.
