Automation Technician

About the position

Based in Airport Industria, the Client is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Automation Technician to be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and supporting industrial automation systems including PLC's, HMIs, drives and instrumentation to ensure efficient production and minimal downtime.

Responsibilities:

• Fault finding on PLC-controlled equipment
• Maintenance and repair of automation and electrical systems
• Assist with PLC programming and system improvements
• Support SCADA and HMI systems
• Installation and commissioning on automation systems
• Ensure minimal production downtime

Requirements:

• National Diploma / N6 /Trade Test in Electrical/ Instrumentation/ Mechatronics/ Automation
• +/- 3 to 4 years' experience in industrial automation or electrical maintenance

Experience with some of the following:

• PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider, Omron
• HMI/SCADA systems
• Variable speed Drives (VSD)
• Electrical fault finding
• Industrial instrumentation
• Control panel wiring
• PLC programming experience
• Commissioning experience
• Industrial networking
